Oh how true that is!

One of the things I love about spending the weekends away in Wurtlefkey is that it allows us some downtime to read, play games, watch movies or as I have recently invested in the latest trend of adult coloring books, coloring. Its a hobby that satisfies my creative streak without being too taxing on the brain, I can sit for hours on end coloring it is therapeutic and relaxing, so I am super happy that every book shop you go in to there is a plethora of coloring books, markers and pencils to choose from.
This is my creation from the weekend, not entirely finished, but over half way done. This was a book I bought a while ago (oddly enough in Sainsburys), its a 60's Flower Power book, I was previously using pencils but this design needed more bold color so I invested in some new markers which I think gave the desired effect, although did limit my color choices.
Sadly the weather is turning now (Sunday morning was cold enough to get our woolly hats out) and the sites in Woolacombe all close at the end of October, so this was our last visit to Woolacombe this year.
We have always had such a great time here, and can't wait to return when they re-open in March 2016.
FAREWELL WOOLACOMBE...
......until next time!
Oh shame. Does the new Golf season start net year fresh? I've so far resisted the urge to do colouring.. it's killing me!
ReplyDeleteOh it will most definitely start a new year fresh, I'm waiting for Chris to be away working and I will sneak in some golf lessons :-)
DeleteOh I know that feeling I used to look longingly at the coloring books on the shelf. I had bought a coloring book years ago from a craft shop when I first moved back to the UK and had a lot more time on my hands, and this year I resisted the urge to get more coloring books right up until we got the motorhome and the weather started to turn. I don't have that much time free, but I do a little bit here and there when we get half and hour. As the weather starts to turn I forsee us spending more time inside the motorhome than out, so I think it will be a good hobby to have.... I did consider knitting - remember my Nan taught me when I was really young - but I just can't reconcile myself with sitting in a motorhome knitting... I may as well get out my slippers, walking stick, rocking chair and tartan blanket to keep my legs warm.... it makes me feel old!
BTW... if you do decide to give in to temptation, there are loads of books out there, but the most recent one which I'm really excited to get started with once my new pens arrive is by JOHANNA BASFORD..... I got it on Amazon but make sure you get FINELINER markers to go with it, Steadtler are the best ones.....
